Building inspections during construction and Dilapidation Reports Development Application conditions call for the preparation of a Dilapidation Report of the Local Council’s Assets and infrastructure including footpaths, driveways, roads, utility points and services all situated in front of the  proposed building site. We can produce dilapidation reports not only for Council Assets but for adjoining properties to the proposed site prior to any demolition or excavation occurring on your site.

We provide inspections at various critical stages of construction on your project and we take the stress, worry and guess work away. The various building stages include footings (foundations), wall and roof frames, brickwork and roofing, electrical and plumbing rough in, carpentry through to final fit-out stage and including practical completion and handover.

Defects Inspections of Existing Buildings

Residential, investment and commercial properties can be inspected and assessed to highlight and identify existing or potential problems. Our reports cover defects, materials, maintenance issues, workmanship and alterations and compliance with Australian Standards. We inspect and prepare defects reports and defects rectification schedules on recently completed projects prior the client accepting handover from the Builder.

City Wide Building Consultants will locate and identify the cause of the Building problem(s), the extent of the  problem is reported in simple to understand terms and appropriate remedial action can be specified.

A number of Liquidators and receivers have used our services to inspect properties on behalf of the Bank where a Head Contractor has gone into receivership and the project is incomplete. We prepare a report with cost estimates for completion and also defects on the completed portion of the works with a defects rectification schedule.
