Building Disputes

This part of our service covers a range of activities from providing Specific Technical Reports designed to clarify issues, to acting in the role of Conciliator or Mediator to ensure a quick and economical result for our clients.

Mario has appeared as an Expert Witness for the Tribunal (CTTT) and Local Courts, and is an experienced Building Consultant in particular with building related disputes.

City Wide Building Consultants have completed a number of building experts reports identifying defective and incomplete works as carried out by the head contractor or the sub-contractor. In these reports we have included cost assessments for these disputes to rectify the works, Co-ordinate and reconcile payments made and payments outstanding to project consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.

Our Building Consultant reports following an extensive site inspection include the highlighting and identification of building defects and non compliance works as carried out by the Building contractor and sub-contractors.

We also have acted as a mediator on building disputes where the parties have agreed to mediate and resolve their issues rather than have the dispute heard in court.

We have completed many reports for Vero Home Owners Warranty Insurance (HOW) on defective and incomplete works to residential buildings where a Home Owners Warranty Insurance claim has been lodged.

Mario is a member of the Institute of Arbitrators and Mediators of Australia and he attends regular workshops and training seminars to ensure he is up to date with dispute resolution practices.
